Sister Smiles

Family!!!!
This week was a good one!! :) To be honest the people here in Goleta are just one of a kind..... in fact my whole area is tiny because we had to split the area and my area is Isle Vista which is UCSB campus and then a little bit of Goleta! So my whole area is just apartments!!! We have college apartments, which we are taking a break from because things have been crazy ever since the shooting there. We only visit our solid investigators! And then we have retirement housing! Their homes are the size of my bedroom.... it's crazy how small the homes are here because in Santa Barbara county, they just want as many people as possible!!! Then we have only one neighborhood haha. BUT! We have had so many miracles this week!!! It has been such a blessing! Sister H is my new companion. She is so great! GUESS WHAT! She knows Nick S! They went to Utah State University together, so we reminisce about how funny Nick is :) She is so great though, we spend most of the day laughing.... :) And teaching of course! :0)

We met with the W family! THEY are SO PREPARED! We showed up and they had bought us smoothies. We taught the restoration using the VERY advanced method of red solo cups! They even took a picture of it! It was so fun to see Sister H invite them to be baptized after the lesson and see what a powerful teacher she is becoming in just 4 days!!! :)

THEN! We are teaching a few elderly people and they live in this apt complex called Friendship Manor. Well, we saw our investigator out talking with a lady, so we walked over and talked to them both and shared a message with Rita (her friend) who then was like, "Hey! I want you to start visiting me!" And then our investigator Susan... was like, "OH NOO!! She better not be taking away any of MY time with you!!!"  hahahah! We assured them we could teach them both separately, haha, but it was just so funny to hear them talk! RITA is turning 93 today!!! And she said "I guess it's never too late!" How cool is that! Someone the age of my GREAT- grandparents, sees a need for the gospel in her life!! :)

THEN! We were walking down the street and after many rejections and weird conversations about cats and pickles, we saw a guy in this little alley-way, about to head into his garage, and I quickly shouted "HELLO!" and he came out! It was awesome! I was VERY persistent with him! He came out and said " I'll just be honest with you ladies, I'll probably not be interested" and then he started walking away... so then I shouted back... and walked up to him! " Well that's the perfect answer! You said probably! So that means you'll listen to what we have to say before you make up your mind, right?" hahaha And THAT was the beginning of a powerful lesson about the restoration. Matt was then determined to buy a copy! I always love when they say "WHERE CAN I BUY THIS!?" And we are able to give it to them for free :) Needless to say that all my years of not taking NO for an answer is FINALLY paying off!! haha Except I regret being stubborn when I was younger... But now I have just learned to be stubborn in the RIGHT things :D

SUNDAY! THIS was a miracle!!! We were were sitting in church when a Chinese couple just walked in! Apparently the husband had been a member for 10 years and has had the feeling that he needed to come back! And he is now married and wants his wife to take the lessons! IT was incredible,  and at the end of church, the wife said "I went to a different church last week, but this one feels so good! I want to figure out why!!" :)YAY! I love the power that church has on our investigators! :) It was just another testimony to me that GOD can do HIS own work. He really doesn't need me! But he is allowing me to be a part of their conversion so that I can be more deeply rooted in this gospel, and for that I am SOOOO thankful!! :)

ANOTHER MIRACLE!!
We have a street  on which we had the best miracle ever... so here we were, 6pm at night, and not a single soul had talked to us that WHOLE day! And 3 people had canceled their lessons! So I took this as a teaching opportunity for my new companion. I said "Rough day, huh.... Well, THIS is where we are going to see the miracles happen!! We have 3 more hours, and I know that if we work hard, and "ENDURE" this day, that we will see so many miracles! So let's do this!" Well family, the CHURCH is TRUE!! because... in two hours we got 3 new investigators, and taught 5 lessons!!! It was incredible! I know Satan wanted us to be discouraged, but hey! We are WINNING this battle no matter what :)

ANOTHER miracle I saw this week was I finished the Book of Mormon, and I took Moroni's challenge! And it was my first day here in Goleta, so we really didn't know what to expect. Well, we had thee MOST amazing thing happen! We had a lesson with a less active and we had a member of the ward show him  a  slide show he made that was proof that the Book of Mormon was an authentic book. He showed the logistics of all of it! About how they did word printing, and that each writer in the book of Mormon is actually speaking and writing, and how the different names were actually Hebrew names, and how Mosiah, the meaning is actually a title of someone who wins battles out of strategy! and that Alma 36 is the biggest ciasm in the WORLD!!! WOW my prayer was answered! THE BOOK of Mormon is true! I know it :)

California is so great! We have seen so many people here at UCSB, and ANIMALS! We have seen HUGE creepy raccoons that chase us... skunks... that  ALMOST spray us! And frogs that I caught once :D And cute little bunnies! We have met SO MANY Russians!! And Italians!! And well, my area is VERY diverse now, I LOVE it!!!

Everyone here thinks I'm a nun.... Which I am pretty offended about.. hahaha! And nearly everyone refers to me as Sister Smiles..... which is nice... haha BUT! I'm just like, "Really people, can you get any more creative? I've been called that since I came out of the womb...." haha :) My investigator challenged my comp to see if I smile in my sleep... so I'll report on that next week! :)

MY area is beautiful! And I am loving my mission! The work is hastening, and my testimony is getting deeper and deeper :) I LOVE being here! And I am so thankful for the opportunity I get to train :)

LOVE YOU ALL!
 LOVE, Sister COLLINGS :)

Transferring and Training!

Hello family!!

HOLY SMOKES! I feel so blessed! I got a CRAZY phone call about transfers this morning!!! DRUM ROLL!!!!! I will be moving to Goleta, and I will be training some cute sister that is fresh off the plane from the MTC!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!! The crazy part about it is that I'm white wash training! Because I have NEVER been to Goleta, and I have a newbie! Wow. hahaha President Castro is leaving this week and we will get a new mission president. President had a farewell and it was so funny, he came up to me and said, " You know this will be hard, but know this is what God wanted" haha Wow. I feel confident that God wants me to train, and that he wants me to be in Goleta... I just feel bad for the girl I'm training, because she will be stuck with the craziest sister in the mission :) hahah But I am so excited :)

THIS WEEK was so great!
I KNOW your prayers have been working, because both Giani and James were able to get baptized! And the spirit was so strong :) I am thankful I was able to see their lives change so much this transfer! It was awesome! haha After Giani was baptized You could hear him talking in the dressing room and he kept saying "I FEEL SO HAPPY!" He really was changed :) And i am so thankful for that!

And When James was baptized, after he came out of the water he did a DOUBLE fist pump, and shouted "YES!!"  James always refers to us as his mafia of angels :) hahahaha I think that's my favorite part about missionary work is seeing their faces change, and the light of Christ exploding out!

James

Although this week wasn't all rainbows and sunshine... because our apartment got attacked by ANTS!!!!! so gross... We had them in our purses, in our food, all over our beds! I even had nightmares of ants.... I decided... ants pretty much are like Satan.... haha because THIS is what I did.... I left my bowl of cereal half eaten by my bed..... and THEN WE WERE ATTACKED! Which I feel is much like Satan, when we put our guard down for just one second, then he attacks and it's a nightmare to clean up! So I think the whole world should just be good... and then we won't have to worry about Satan's ants... haha :)

This week we also taught cute Mary! We talked about the iron rod and had her hold on tight as we sung "HOLD TO THE ROD!" She is so excited to be baptized. I am excited for that day! She is the CUTEST little girl :) OH And we played patty cake... but she can't use her left hand, so she would have to use her right hand to swing her other hand up to give me a high five... it broke my heart, but it was very precious!!

We had a lesson with Jerry, he is the son of a less active person. He has never been baptized! THIS was powerful because he said "NOBODY has ever been able to Answer my questions before!!" That's something I love! We have all the answers, because God's church isn't supposed to be confusing!! :)

OH! We have an investigator named Charlie and he LOVES Harleys! He is about 70, so it's hilarious. Well the ward is SO great at fellowship, one of the ward members bought him this statue of Jesus on a Harley.... he loved it!! haha I was a little confused... but hey! GOTTA love fellowship from the ward haha :)

This week has been so great! I gotta get packing! But I am SO EXCITED!! :) Goleta, here I come! OH!  and USB is in my area... I hear that Santa Barbara University has interesting people :)

Thank you for sending me those pictures! I am sickened by Conner's muscles, and with HOW BIG AVERY LOOKS!!!!!! WOW! I bet she had a blast at Disneyland! :) Sorry this one is so short! I will write better next week! You have my word :)
I Love you all!

Chased by a MONSTER!

Hello! :)

(I told Kaylea that Jessica and Chris are taking Avery to Disneyland)
AWW that's so cute!!! I wish I could be in Disneyland with cute Avery!!! Which reminds me... JESS hasn't emailed me in forever!!! And I am getting VERY Avery deprived! so... heh hemm... Tell her she's in trouble :)

HOLY smokes! I can't believe Sarah ran a marathon! I'm impressed..... Tell her she has to run one with me After my mission :):)  I don't know how coachie can run another marathon, he's  a running machine! :)

Conman!!! YOU would be way impressed with me because I'm getting tan.... hahaha all that working at Turf-it maybe he will get up to my level!! Except my tan lines are pretty hilarious :)

This week was funny :) We had A LOT of good experiences!  We had some referrals to contact this week and something HORRIFYING happened!!  We opened up this gate, and knocked on this door...  well, the family wasn't interested, BUT they forgot that, their back door was open, so their dang pit-bull came RUNNING AT US!!!! And while we were trying to invite them to come unto Christ this was the same dog that had bee biting and attacking their other pit-bull.... The man kept saying " they're not nice." So here we were about to die... and I had two thoughts cross my mind.... Number one... RUN!!! Number two... Hold out the Book of Mormon!!! I have heard so many stories of the Book of Mormon deflecting crazy animals! Well... I don't want you all to think that I don't have faith... but I decided to just run and hop over the fence... BUT! THIS was the first time I have EVER been actually chased by a death seeking monster.... hahaha! You can't be a missionary without a dog story right?? So... I'm definitely a missionary!

We have an old lady in the ward that makes all the sister missionaries shawls... hahaha So this week I was privileged to get a custom made, cozy shawl that's purple! :) I'll have to send pictures of it! I draped it over our couch so that it made our home look more homey :)

OHHHHH! ONE more interesting thing that happened this week before I get into the AmAzInG stuff :)
I got the weirdest compliment this week... you hear the strangest things on your mission... So we were teaching this lesson and this man... who is about 40, says, "Sister Collings I have to tell you something... you promise you won't take it the wrong way! " hahahah ok here it goes... " So I just wanted you to know that your voice is so nice, it reminds me of when I was in elementary school, and when the school teacher would whisper an answer to the question in my ear, and I felt soothed... and excited, because I finally knew the answer!!" hahaha awkward. My only response to that was "hmmm, I always thought my teachers had boring voices... so BACK TO THE LESSON..." hahahaha Weird... Maybe i ought to be a teacher hmmmmmm??? :)

OHHHH WEIRDEST THING EVER! So everyone here in Cali can never guess that I'm from Utah! I have heard the weirdest things! Nearly everyone thinks I'm from down South... and I kind of get offended hahah! But last night we had dinner with a family and the father asked if I was french!? hahahah Holy smokes, I swear Cali people need to clean our their ears because I'm speaking English!

NOW off to the really good stuff! This week has been one full of growth and a  HUGE change of perspective!  Coachie would always talk about "defining moments", I definitely had mine this week :) And I have to give all the credit to the scriptures :)
Alma 37:36" Yea and cry unto god for all thy support, yea, let all thy doings be unto the lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the lord yea let all thy thoughts be directed unto the lord yea let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the lord forever."
Being a missionary can be stressful at times because you are always worried about others, and you are being shown every single weakness that you have... and for me, I have always gotten so freaked out about after the mission! About what God wants me to be, or if I'll even be a changed person at all! I would think about what career I needed to take, or who God wanted me to marry...  But when I read this scripture, I realized I don't need to think about any of that anymore! This is the only time in my life when I can really let go of everything and just cling onto the gospel with all that I have. So that's what I'm doing! Just letting go of everything! This perspective change that I had, I took VERY literally. I even went so far as taking down my pictures, and having the only thing on my study desk be my scriptures, Preach my Gospel, and a notepad! The more I devote myself to this work, the more I am changed, and the more I LOVE the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the clearer my view is for what Heavenly Father sees.
I had some great experiences! I think your prayers have been working! Because both James and Giani passed their baptismal interview! I love knowing that no matter how hard the situations these two are in, the blessings of baptism are going to help them! Giani will be baptized Wednesday! And James on Saturday!
We had another lesson with Mary and Leslie! Mary is a little 8 year old, and she wanted to do a play about when Jesus was born! haha! IT was the cutest thing... I was dressed up like an angel, Sister C was the wise-man, and Mary was Mary! We sang songs like Silent Night and Away in a Manger! Her grandma, who never seemed interested in us coming and teaching, came and joined us as we sang about Jesus. Leslie had the biggest smile on her face! And I felt so blessed that the spirit was able to touch them! That's something I LOVE about music, it always brings the spirit! We are still trying hard to teach their whole family! They have a family of 5... but no worries, we will get there! :)
We also were able to teach 3 powerful Plan of Salvation lessons! 1. Single man who didn't know what his purpose in life was.  2. For a single mother who has a daughter with mental illness, and was able to feel peace knowing her little girl doesn't have to suffer forever.  3. We taught a family of 12, and seeing their faces light up in excitement knowing that death wasn't a scary thing! That life on earth does matter! I am so thankful for the Plan of Salvation, and for the clarity it gives all of us about our purpose here, and how we can reach our destination back to Heavenly Father!
We were also able to have a visit from Elder Baxter who is in the 70!! He has a shiny bald head and a British accent! But what I loved most about Elder Baxter was his powerful testimony! His testimony was what ultimately made me want to be MORE devoted to this gospel! And to missionary work! :)  He said a few things I LOVED! "We can accomplish all! We get help from heaven only after we have done all we can do, We HAVE to do our part before heaven can to its." BUT! MY favorite thing was that I was able to walk up to him and shake his hand! Looking into his eyes was so powerful! Seeing a man set apart and dedicated to this gospel fueled  me to want to become like that! Having so much faith and love for his savior Jesus Christ! He asked me how long I'd been serving, and thanked for being a missionary. But then I really don't remember if it was him talking, or if it was something the Spirit impressed on my mind, but I'll NEVER forget it! It said, " Let this mission change you." SO perhaps that's why I want to give more of myself out here. I have never been happier on my mission! And I am so thankful for all the support that I am receiving! I promise that I am being changed :) and I know that it was hard to save my money for this mission.... but I know now why I needed to do that! Because this mission is worth EVERY cent! I am so thankful to be a missionary!!!

OHH and get this!! Next week is TRANSFERS!! AND we will be getting a new mission president July 1st! CRAZY!!!
I LOVE YOU ALL!!!! have a great week :):)

Funny, powerful, and miracles!

Hello!!!

Wow this week has been so great! I am really loving Ventura! I think I say that every week but it's so true!! The work is REALLY moving forward!!! We have two RM's that came home from their missions last week and BOY! They are keeping us so so so busy!! With referrals and coming with us to lessons, it's pretty great!

So this may sound so cheesy BUT this is one of my FAVORITE things about my area... every night and morning, I just leave the windows open and the cool ocean breeze just fills my apartment! It's not too cold, but just so nice!! And California smells so so so sweet! Unless people ARE SMOKING... :) BUT! Seriously, I LOVE it! In California, nobody needs ac because of that cool breeze :) Sighh :)

This week was also full of funny and POWERFUL experiences!! First I'll share a few of my laughs with you :) We were able to do a service project in the old folks home! HAHA Me and Sister C played hang man! They loved it! It was hilarious hearing the elderly just laugh so hard because they guessed the right letter :) It reminded me this week to just look for the small things everyday! I love the elderly and how a lot of them are similar to children, how they find so much joy in the little things! So this week I was able to pick out the little things that give me joy! One elderly man named Walker was just too hilarious! He turned to an elderly lady and said..." I'm going to spit out my gum just in case you wanna kiss me later.." hahahahah! And she was so happy! I think the younger generation needs to consider taking flirting lessons! Because it worked! :)

We also met with a less active lady who hasn't been to church because she was offended... We saw her... with BIG ol' grins on our faces we said "HOW ARE YOU!!! IT'S SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!!! :)"
With a grouchy scowl she roared "SICK!"
With deep concern in our hearts we then asked her " Is there anything we can do?"
Haha this is where it gets good "YES. You can walk my dog. Now go away."
Haha Wow. We did walk her dog and it helped us talk to people because they wanted to pet this cute dog, but it was crazy how grouchy this lady was. I made it another goal to only get smile wrinkles when I'm older!!! :)

OHHH!! and Dad, I met a guy who spoke in tongues..... it was so strange! Hahaha He said he wanted to be a missionary for us and he just started off speaking a bunch of gibberish! haha And doing a really weird dance...sighhh I LOOVE the hilarious things I see each day! NEVER think you have seen it all... because I can promise you... You haven't haha! :)

We have a little boy who has a really hard family life.  His name is Giani, and he will get baptized next week! And it was hard because it almost seemed like his grandma was forcing him... so I wasn't sure if he really wanted to, or if he was ready! So I started asking about his baptism, like why he wants to get baptized and so on.. And he was SO sweet!! This kid, who has gone through more than anyone I know... said " Sister Collings I NEED the Holy Ghost to help me." And then after the lesson he ran up to me and he was like " SISTER COLLINGS!! I was thinking after I'm baptized I want to keep taking these lessons! Is that ok?" I was so happy that my prayers were answered, and that I really could see the intent in this lost rambunctious little boy! I feel so blessed to be working with Giani! And I know that the Holy ghost really can help him after his baptism! It will give him a light to hold onto inside his dark home.

THEN! We saw another miralce this week. We have an investigator who's name is Leslie and she is so independent, she won't take help from anyone! She's 80 years old, needs a hip replacement.. and hasn't showered in months because she can't... she really does need to be in a home getting help, but she has full custody of her 3 grand kids... and 2 of them have cystic fibrosis.  So she has so much going on! Well we were determined to help them!! And so we showed up in our service clothes and she was so embarrassed because she had tried to cut her hair, but she shakes so much it looked really bad!!!! Well I told her that I could cut her hair! And she was almost in tears... now I am so thankful that I am kind of confident behind scissors! Because I have cut Erin's hair so much! And my own.... hahah. Well I just prayed in my heart that I could help her, and so I'm pretty sure God did the hair cutting because I didn't know what I was doing! But Leslie looked SO GOOD afterwards :) So then we offered to clean her bathroom! And she was hesitant! But we talked her into it :) I told her we could just clean the mirror because that was easy... Well we were so sneaky and fast because we cleaned the WHOLE BATHROOM! And the grand kids told us they want to come to church! And her oldest grand kid said he would be interested in coming to scouts!!!! MIRACLE!! Her heart is being softened! She wouldn't let us talk to her grand kids and now she is letting us serve her and take them to church! :)

Gonzalo G is probably my favorite person to  teach... because he just LOVES EVERYTHING!! His first lesson he came to church and it was the law of chastity! We were scared... but he even commented in the lesson! Well those RM's completely fellowshipped him! And they talk all the time.  He is so excited for this change in his life!! But those RM's... Remember how great I said they were? Well just imagine how comical it is... me and my companion with 2 RM's teaching Gonzalo! hahaha They just get so excited to share their testimony and knowledge! It made me think that you know... this mission doesn't last forever! And I could see in their eyes how much they missed it!! I don't want that day to come!!! I don't want this to end!! :)

One more miracle I had... I was praying for a confirmation that God was proud of me! Because if he is proud of what I am doing... then all the negative thoughts that I get at times about myself, don't matter! Well President Castro is about to go home, so we had our goodbye interviews with him! AND HE ANSWERED MY PRAYERS! He was able to tell me how proud he was of me and what he saw in me! Potential in this mission, and after this mission! I sure love my mission president I will be sad to see him go! BUT I feel blessed that I get to have another one!! :) Who is from UTAH! :):)

In my studies, I was reading in Mormon! Where Moroni is struggling... mostly because his heart  is sad because he is the ONLY one that believes the truth, and he has to lead and army of wicked people. BUT I LOVE some of his counsel! He said " And may the lord Jesus Christ grant that their prayers may be answered according to their faith."
I know that is why Giani is excited about his baptism.
I know that is why Leslie's heart is being softened.
I KNOW that is why we were able to find amazing fellowship for Gonzalo!
Prayers of faith work! They grow our faith! And faith is Power! We can do ALL things with faith :) I know that to be true :)

ONE more thought: I KNOW now why missions are so hard! It's because he need to go through everything our investigators are going through so that we rely on the atonement daily, so we can help THEM rely on the atonement daily.
I feel alone at times. They feel alone, they are waiting for an answer and at times have to get rid of their old friends.
I have to adjust to a CRAZY mission schedule. They have to adjust to a NEW "crazy awesome" life.
I cannot see the ones I love the most. They can't do the things they used to love the most.
Sighh... I could go on and on! BUt I am so thankful for this week :) I LOVE you all!!!! And I hope DAD, you have a SUPER HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!! :):):)
Yay!! I do know Karley and Tawney! I am so happy for them :)
Have a great week!

Let's teach at the SKATE PARK!!

Family!!!!!!!!!! :):)

Wow this week we have seen so many miracles!! And I know it is because we are working really hard!! I have never felt more blessed to be a missionary, I can feel my relationship with the Savior carrying me through each and every day, and giving me the strength and the happiness I need to share this amazing gospel! The only rough part is my companion has gotten a mouth infection.... it looks pretty yucky!! So we have to stay indoors until Wednesday! I think God is REALLY pounding patience into my head because EVERY companion I have had has gotten really sick and we had to stay indoors... and I'm just like NOOOOOO!!!!! Let me work!!!!!!! AH!!! hahah. BUT! Bring it on :) I'll finish the Book of Mormon in these next two days I'm sure. I'm in 4th Nephi.. :) BUT! Prayer has really helped me so much! to keep on going and rely on my Heavenly Father no matter the situation! Cool huh! :):)

For example.... a praying situation that helped me A LOT!!!!!!

So we planned to go and tract at a huge park that is always just PACKED with people so we were so excited... well... Turns out when we got there, the park was empty.... except one place... the place that I NEVER in a million places ever EVER saw myself ministering the gospel!! And that is... THE SKATE PARK!!!! haha there were all these skaters... and punks, and they were like all my age... and I wanted to die. I was  just thinking... hmm I really don't wanna talk to them! So before we got out of the car we prayed! And then I thought to myself, "You know what? Because I LOVE God I'm going to talk to all these skater boys... bring it on.." hahaha! Well MY poor companion was horrified because she's only been out 2 months!! haha!!!! Well I walked up to them... made them stop skate boarding and listen to me... This was pretty comical...  But so great! Because I completely, 100% trusted in God. It was an awkward situation, but some of them were actually interested! It just makes me think that I really cannot judge anyone!! And when you put it in your mind that you just LOVE God, well you can pretty much do anything :)

We had  2 more POWERFUL experiences!!

We met with Gonzalo G!! And before we met with him he texted us and he was like " Sister, I cannot wait to get baptized!" WHAT!?!! hahaha Well we met at a park and we taught the restoration (the super advanced way) using cups! And at the end he was like "Woah. Can I have those cups? I want to show my sister"!!!!!! Let me tell you a little background  about him, he went to AFRICA and met members of the church down there and he thought to himself they have something I need! So then he saw us walking down the street and he YELLED " HEY ARE YOU MORMONS!?! I WANNA TALK TO YOU!"  I mean fine we will talk to you Gonzalo... hahah! So then after the restoration lesson, he was like "Wow everyone in the your church is so happy, I WANT THAT!!!" And THAT was powerful! :) THEN! he was like "You know in 2 months from now I want to get a facebook account, and only have friends that are Mormon!!!" Haha The things that he says JUST KILLS me!!! BUT he then told us " I want to visit  Argentina, so I decided to look up the Mormon population there and it's HUGE! So I really felt that this church is true.  I NEED THIS!" Wow Gonzalo is so prepared! And we didn't do anything.. he FOUND us. He is so powerful to teach, his eyes just gleam with understanding. I LOVE it! He has a baptismal date set for June 21!!! :) PRAY for him!!! :)

We have an investigator who is about 40 and is OVERLY obsessed with his guitar. He promised us he would come to ALL 3 hours of church and he didn't show up!  Well... Too bad for him, because he has Sister Collings teaching him... and I don't let things like that slide. So I marched over to his house to get to the bottom of this! He also has a date for the 21st to get baptized so... he needs to take this seriously! SO. He told us he just went through some things... etc. I told him we had a fireside for investigators that night. (What he didn't know is that it was at the Stake President's home wahaha) Well... We invited him to come and it was a powerful lesson! the stake presidency have lessons at each of the presidency member's homes for investigators each month! And THIS month guess what the talk about... commitments. hahaha! He bore powerful testimony that he knew he needed to start taking this seriously! He said something really powerful! he said "You know, it's time for me to get off of the bench! I need to start taking this seriously and start playing, and fighting in the fight.  God has been patient with me, now it's my time to act."
Sighh....
I loved that.

WELL! This week has been a blessing to me!!! and I am so thankful for the crazy things I hear and see each day on my mission that make my testimony grow. I LOVE my Savior, and I LOVE that I can rely on him for anything.... :) I feel like I really am becoming, not just a missionary, but a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Prayers DO get answered, and people REALLY are prepared. We just have to open our mouths :)
I LOVE YOU ALL!!
Me and Sister C have started... rapping :) hahaha it motivates us and well we are getting pretty good! :):)

-Love Sista C! :)
